Excellent tally sheet for the count today. Looks like Ivana Bacik will be elected. Wondering if green transfers will push her over the quota.
@wfm I’d love to see Bacik take the seat, but I worry that transfers between the coalition parties may put Geoghegan over the quota.
@artkavanagh almost zero chance of that happening. Am Green Party but very happy to see Ivana elected. She will strengthen the Dáil. Also happy to see Labour get a break after almost a decade.
@wfm I’m not a Green (though a cousin of a former secretary of the party). I admire Ivana Bacik personally, of course, but beyond that I’m hoping that this is the beginning of a revival for the Labour Party.
