Well, I tried I out Ulysses and Drafts 5 on the iPad, and even bought the iOS version of iA Writer and I still think I prefer Apple Notes to any of them. Of course Notes can’t export Markdown to html, but I can see myself writing in Notes, then moving to iAW for export

@artkavanagh you could set up a Siri shortcut for that. Get text > convert markdown to rich text > rich text to html > copy to clipboard.

In fact,?I just made it for you.

@ChrisJWilson Thank you for that. I’ve been meaning to get started with Shortcuts and this might be the very thing to do it. I was a bit puzzled at first by the conversion from Markdown to rich text, then from rich text to html, since you can write rich text directly in Notes. So I tried it — and the Notes rich text to html is much messier (spans etc) than the Markdown via rich text to html, so I see why you did it that way. Well done.

@artkavanagh I made the markdown to rich text purely as you had mentioned markdown and there's no way (I could see) to convert markdown straight to HTML (which I find crazy!) I think this is such a great example of how you can get into shortcuts, you find a shortcut to solve one problem and then you'll start wondering what else you can solve.
