For one, am I the only one who remembers browsers supporting RSS natively? Admittedly they did it in very awkward ways…
@baldur I can’t help thinking that we’re paying too much attention to the mode of delivery (email, RSS, static content sites or whatever) at the expense of (if you’ll excuse my language) the “content”. Perhaps the medium is the message, but it can’t be the whole message.
I’ve been as guilty of this as anyone. For example, here’s something I wrote a few months ago about RSS in the browser.
