Speaking of keyboards, I like this one very much. The Hermes 3000 is solid and precise.
@jack mmm…so lovely! Looked into that one a while ago, never purchased but still something I’d like to have in the future. Any tips/pointers/recommendations on the best places to buy from?
@aa I haven't bought a new typewriter in a long time. I got the Hermes from a nearby antique shop. The others were mostly from Craigslist. I did buy an SM3 from a refurb shop so it was all nice when I got it. That's the costly route, though.
@pimoore It sure is. For as old as it is (and I've never had it serviced) it still feels really tight. Good engineering, I guess.
@Ddanielson I miss having a typewriter repair service nearby. I'd be happy to apprentice with one even today! :)
