@indw The southern Oregon coast is where left my heart in 2017, I have to go back and get it some day. How far did you go on the trip? It is worth going all the way to Crescent City, CA, and back up the Redwood Highway to I-5 if you haven’t done it before. But the stretch from Bandon to Brookings is just spectacular. I did the reverse on the trip in 2017, first day was driving from Portland to Crescent City.

@anniegreens Port Orford was the end of the line for us on this trip. My wife and I have visited Redwoods pre-kids, and stopped off in Brookings for some food, but we had sort of bypassed the southern Oregon coast. It was an interesting experience. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting as many rednecks.

@indw Well, there is that, but the scenery and isolation can't be beat if you can get a cabin somewhere with a view. Gold Beach was really nice, loved Bandon too. And RV/camping at an Oregon state park is always a good choice.
