Quick poll: what is your preferred notebook size? Pocket, A5, B5, etc.
@aa A5, but I love a pocket from time to time too, I just stop after a while as I can want fewer things in my pockets, especially in summer.
@aa A5. I sometimes carry a pocket-sized notebook but—for your purposes—it's when I specifically don't want to deal with a bag, and actually carry it in my pocket.
@aa In general, I carry a Traveler’s Notebook (slim A5) but at the moment I’m using a B5 because I’m trying to get through my stock of notebooks before I buy more.
@aa I'm with @gregmoore - B5 + Field Notes. I'm on my second Scribbles That Matter B5 journal that I use when I'm home, and Field Notes while traveling.
@aa A6 to have just a little bit more real estate than pocket, but pre-supposing the purpose behind your question, I also sometimes carry pocket notebooks which would also easily fit into a leather A6 billfold-like cover. 📓😁
@aa A5 preferred, pocket notebooks a close second. I use composition notebooks for work.
@aa I’ve been experimenting with passport size this year vs pocket, and I think I prefer the shorter format, which is a surprise for me. For regular note-taking, give me B6. Based on everyone else’s answers, I’m a weirdo, which tracks.
@aa I have a small handwritten so I love narrow notebooks. B6 slim (Midori or Zequenz) is my favorite, followed by A6 slim (Field note size), and A5 slim (Traveler’s Notebook Size). I must be the weirdest one around here 😂
I'll join the list of folks saying A5 with pocket coming in a close second. I've generally got several A5 in play at any given time (right now, one thick one with Tomoe River paper and 3 cahier-style in a single cover as a planner/commonplace experiment.
