Glad we decided to call it simply “Heron Haven”, because even though we’ve had tons of Great Blue Heron activity, we’re now seeing the smaller Green Heron quite a bit, too 🔎

@toddgrotenhuis very cool! I've seen a few green herons lately, which is neat, because they are rather secretive birds.
@toddgrotenhuis Beautiful little (not so little really) birds! They used to frequent a pond near where we lived and it was always a treat to see one.
@annahavron yes! First time I saw one was when I was on a kayak. They’ve been hiding out in a tree/bush perch on the pond side. We’ve now seen them flying a handful of times, too. Much more skittish than the GBH.
