I kind of want Webmentions to show up on my blog posts. I’ve been fighting them on my Hugo blog and they’re winning. Put this one in the “Pluses” column for WordPress.

@amit I've gotten Webmentions to mostly work for me in Hugo, but I've noticed recently that avatars are missing on some, not others. Plus it was a roll-my-own sort of thing so when something breaks I have to spend time dealing with it. Some days I don't mind, but I get lazy :). In WordPress I add a couple of plugins and they just work (or have so far).

@jack what's the secret sauce for Hugo & webmention support? I have to admit I haven't started to look into it.

@soypunk For me it's a combination of Webmentions going to webmention.io and some homemade JavaScript to pull them in. You're welcome to grab what I have from the baty.net source.
