I wish there was a technology that could capture the smell you are experiencing, just the way you can the colours with a camera. Some smells give such bliss and are so unique (at least to my nose) that I wish I could capture and share the joy with my dear ones.

@amit I agree! Some of my favorites: newly mowed lawn, hot tar-impregnated railway sleepers or telephone poles, cut semi-sweet apples, newly brewed strong coffee. 😌

@odd Ah, I could recognize each one 👍🏽 That said, you know what this tech would be most useful for? That peculiar ones you don't know what it is or where it's coming me. But it makes you happy within 😊

@amit I was trying to find a podcast episode I heard awhile back about scientists working to recreate a nose to serve the purpose of drug sniffing dogs (among other things). Sort of the opposite of what you are talking about, but in that (failed) search, I came across this, which feels relevant: www.npr.org/2020/11/2...
