This is my semi-regular reminder that Rocket for the Mac is free and absolutely essential.

@matt My only wish is that it supported other browsers so I could use its website-specific disable feature.
AFAIK, it only supports Safari and Google Chrome.
@matt I got Rocket and even sent the Dev the optional $10 because it's such a good product but I struggle to find it more useful than the Raycast emoji picker. What do you like it better?
@matt I'm so spoiled by Raycast's emoji picker that I completely forgot about Rocket. But it's still a great free recommendation ๐
@matt @nileane Raycast's is pretty good: I built a semantic emoji search (which uses a small language model). It used to be hard coded for 1 word searches but now like "Neil Armstrong" returns ๐ง๐ฝโ๐ (definitely a must-have feature.)
https://marcoshuerta.com/dash/emoji_finder/
and I have a python-based LaunchBar plugin. (I should research Raycast script commands...)
@matt it has such buggy emoji lookup though, have reported multiple times to no avail
@Alexbrooks Hmm, interesting. I haven't run into them so I guess I'll count my lucky stars ๐
@matt uninstalled when Raycast got the emoji picker, personally. It has AI search now too, which is even better.
@matt oh really? For example, search for โsadโ wonโt bring up a sad face, but instead a SAnD timer
@matt it looks familiarโฆ yes, I bought Rocket Pro around 2017 and forgot. How can I download the Pro version? Does my license is still valid?
@Alexbrooks Ah, that makes sense. I guess I've never searched for "sad" so I never ran into that (I would do "frown").
Incidentally, I had a lot of trouble with the macOS emoji picker because it didn't do things how I expect ("tada" just recently brought up ๐ like other apps). To each their own! Good thing we have options on the Mac ๐
