@gedeonm This entire election cycle and the media has been weird. I unsubscribed from the NYT after 20 years because their coverage got so bad and now I see the same kind of hands-off Trump stuff everywhere. I would hate to think that it is as simple as them desiring a trump presidency because he drives ratings and subscriptions. It's either that or a bunch of right-wingers have been put in place by quarterly report types who value $$$ over integrity.
@gedeonm The web version’s of news outlets — including NYT, WaPo, etc. — serve lots of non-stories as clickbait. They get analytics that a specific article or type of article performs, and they cheaply male more to serve ads. The metrics are incongruous with the outlets’ function as news organizations. The linked story, for example, is not a story. It’s just a bunch of dunk tweets. It might as well be Sports Illustrated.

Harris is the CURRENT Vice President of the United States and Trump has been out of that White House for four years…. But BOTH of them are somehow “dangerously behind” in transition planning.

@gedeonm Seems like the campaign transition from Biden -> Harris was one of the smoothest operations in political history. Why would the VP -> P transition be any different??!

@gedeonm As a side note, I think Project 2025 does a pretty good job of explaining Trump’s “transition” plan. Doesn’t it start with firing a bunch of people?
