@amerpie Aw I loved this post! I don't get to see old family photos often since they're at my parents but I treasure the moments I do get to look at them. I don't have enough photos of me as a child since we moved a lot and I guess things kind of just slowly got lost in the process.
I, too, love the On this day feature. I clean out my phone annually so photos never stick around too long on my phone for that, although I do have the Day One On this Day feature and that's where I look back on the photos I've taken. These days, I try to be more intentional with the photos I take because if I take too much at an event, I get overwhelmed and don't look at them... so I try to practice awareness with every snap (although it's not always the case).
These days, my phone is full of my dog's photos... and those, I do tend to look at often because she's such a derp lol... but I can very much relate to this post.
@jedda I use Amazon Photos which comes with Amazon Prime at no extra cost to back up my iPhone photos and in the spirit of overkill, also upload them to Google Drive. Both of those apps have "on this day" and other cool search features if you care to use them. Then you can still clean out your phone without losing the ability to flash back.
@amerpie I've been an Amazon Prime user for ages and have never used the Photos storage! I'll check it out, thanks!
