Looks like a gaming PC is in our future. I’m starting to delve into all the options and thinking whether to build one or buy a pre-built model. It’s hard to know what will be “good enough” for the CPU and GPU.

@cm Thanks I'll check out pcpartpicker.com. I think I'd prefer to build it myself. Yeah, all the LEDs are something I just don't get but they certainly seem to be the style these days.

@ronguest Pcpartpicker is great. Here’s the PC I put together last winter: pcpartpicker.com/user/hatl... — my first build in many years. Totally doable and lots of fun!

@alans Thanks for sharing that. Cool to look it over. Do you use that build for gaming?

@ronguest Yep, it’s a gaming build and I’m super happy with it. I don’t know the CPU and GPU ins and outs anymore, so leaned on some advice for those decisions. I forgot I actually wrote a post about the completed build at pcpartpicker: pcpartpicker.com/b/9VJ8TW

@ronguest I’ve just done the some a month or so ago. My first time building a PC but it was good fun. Now I’m a little hooked though! Good luck with it.

@alans Thanks, I'm probably on the same path you took - heading toward a Christmas build.
