I love a good Manhattan. Sadly mine are generally rather poor. But I tried a different vermouth today and the result was good. Not great but at least good. I shall persevere!

@ronguest I like that glass! My pretty reliable go-to Manhattan these days is Tin Cup rye and Noilly Pratt or Carpano Antica vermouth.

@alans I just switched to that vermouth for last night’s drink which is a lot of why I think I like it better. I used Bulleit Rye. I’ll have to look into trying tin cup.

@ronguest Happy experimenting! For what it’s worth, I think Bulleit’s rye is a little mild, and the drink really benefits from something spicier that balances the vermouth.
