In other news, I invented a cocktail. Into a lowball glass, add half a sliced plum, a half teaspoon of sugar, and a dash of peach bitters. Muddle. Add 2½ ounces of good bourbon, and stir. Add ice.

@cleverdevil I’ve been doing this with whatever summer stone fruit we have in the house! It works great with plum, peach slices and nectarine, so far. I also use angostura and a little bit of brown sugar, and sometimes gently muddle in a basil leaf.
