@mroutley I read this while trying it out again specifically for my Micro.blog timeline, and it’s a really good experience. Do you ever feel like it skips sections of time though?
@jarrod interesting, I haven’t noticed that, but I tend to just dip in a few times a day, rather than try to keep up
@mroutley I think it also depends on what you use social networks for. If it’s for professional reasons (read: income), then Reeder might not be enough, since it lacks proper interaction (it’s a reading app, after all). If it’s for leisure, you might want to change your mindset to a more relaxed one (reading only, never responding), just to stay up to date and form your opinions with critical thinking instead of with discussion.
@mroutley I’m really enjoying it too. I’m hoping for filters, or muted words. I don’t know if that’s ever a plan but would be helpful for me.
@jarrod I find that too. One workaround I found is having it open on Mac through the day and seems to help even though I use it on my phone almost exclusively. It seems to sync some posts the phone might miss.
@aeryn yeah, muting would be next on my wishlist. I’m trying to keep partisan politics out of my feeds
@renevanbelzen an important distinction and it is helpful to think through why we subscribe/follow
