Car Play is one of those things that you don’t understand the value of until you’ve used it. And, when you have, you can’t go back.

@adders my wife and I are in full agreement our next car will have it, no exceptions. After seeing my sister in-law using it I wondered why it isn’t standard across the board already.
@jeremycherfas I didn’t know that. I know that Tesla doesn’t support CarPlay, but the chances of me owning a Tesla anytime soon are slim…
@jeremycherfas That’s weird, I thought Toyota already supported it. My wife and I are looking at the Hyundai Kona or Nissan Kicks for our next vehicle. An EV would be nice to have but we have no charging available where we live.
@SimonWoods I don’t know what an Auris is called elsewhere, but it isn’t there. And although mine is not new, there is apparently no option for a new unit.
@jlrevilla Yikes, I forgot about that. Fully agree; there's no way even these well established care companies can win against the power of The Default.
@jeremycherfas I'm confused as to why these companies fail to understand that by working together, even in a limited capacity, they will all benefit from people spending more money across the board. I guess I'll never be a CEO!
@SimonWoods Me too. I think it may be because if everything is in house, they don’t have to share any of the profit. But I’m no CEO either.
