Today at precisely 10:01 AM, I have an appointment to get my daughter’s Social Security card. I have no idea what a Social Security Administration office in 2019 is going to feel like.
@EddieHinkle I failed. I didn’t have a piece of paper the instructions said I didn’t need to have, but which the officious bureaucrat wouldn’t assist me without. So, since it took me two hours on hold and a month to get an appointment, I guess I’m just walking in next time.
@ablaze oh no! If it makes you feel better, that stuff is so common. But doesn’t prevent the burden of having to return.
@EddieHinkle She was born at home. This is like the 37th bureaucratic nightmare. Kind of wish we had just left her out of the system entirely.
@EddieHinkle Yep, had to go to the county in person for the birth certificate, too. At least the federal government has a queuing system.
