@aa Your stitching just gets me every time man. I just love zooming in on the details of your work to see the love youā€™re putting into these pieces.

@gregmoore thanks for taking a closer look! they do get a lot of love :-) oh, and I didn't think I had any of the orange expedition field notes left but turns out I had an unopened pack šŸ™ˆ it does look quite awesome!

@alpower Thanks! I use the left side flap (where you could also tuck the other side of the notebook cover or not...I prefer not since the Field Notes covers are fun) as a pocket for receipts, scrap paper, etc. On top of the flap is a slot that I use for my license and two bank cards (then covered with a leather "card" to keep them secure and also slightly "hidden").

@aa That looks great too. The cool thing is they moved the Expedition into their main line so anyone can buy them regularly now. Iā€™m still working my way through my collection to get to the Expeditions.

@gregmoore liking your setup there. What does it look like closed? Not familiar at with that FN editionā€¦when did they do those?

@aa Thanks, my lighting is bad but here is the back open and the front closed. I specifically designed it to keep everything as a single piece of unbroken leather. The Field Notes is an old Dry Transfer edition from back in 2011. (I really bounce around the different editions Iā€™ve collected over the years.)

@gregmoore that is awesome, love the age that is showing!

@aa I cut several oversized rectangles from a raw side around 2013 to see if I could age them without stains. This one spent several months on my car dashboard in the Florida sun. (I would regularly take it in to resaturate it with leather moisturizer to prevent drying out and cracking.) Finally, I added the protective glaze over top to make the outside waterproof for more notebook protection while being carried around.
