I’m telling you what, Apple TV+ has really hit their stride. Shining Girls is INSANE.
@WiredDifferently it’s funny that this one surfaced in my feed yesterday which I saved for later - it does look good noting that it comes from 2022. How did I miss it?
@JohnPhilpin 🤷 one complaint I have is that when I browse the TV lineup it shows me the same shows and movies over and over, just listed in a different order and in multiple categories. I’d have no idea how to surface content that it doesn’t either serve up or that I’ve saved for later, too.
@WiredDifferently hmmm .. I started and could not get into it … adding Jax not wanting to .. at all .. like me .. the movie wasn’t our cup of tea .. but am told it is very different.
@JohnPhilpin omg, PLEASE watch it. I’ve been assured it’s very different from the movies (I’ve not seen them, Husband has). My best friend is also passing on watching it because he thinks it’ll be like the movies. I wish I could describe it better. Nothing about it is unnecessary. Every shot, scene, soundtrack, plot, performance… haunting and suspenseful and unexpected are in the mix, but they’re honestly limp descriptions. I’ve never seen television like this. (And actually I’m calling it serialized film, because it’s really not television.)
