I made homemade fries for the first time in my life (I think) and they were amazing. I’m a bit out of fries recently but I think the main issue is that I don’t want the one from a store anymore.
@davidmarsden thanks. Do stainless steel pans not work for frying? I don’t have much experience with deep frying in a pan, as we have a dedicated deep fryer. Apparently not an regular home appliance. And yeah it is always the same with these non stick pans. I quite like them but you need to constantly replace them.
@V_ stainless steel didn’t seem to work as well when I tried it. Maybe I was anxious about ruining a new pan! I read that cast iron is better for frying chips or fries. We’re a bit limited for space here for a dedicated fryer, unfortunately.
