Maybe ethics thought experiments ought to begin with why so many people are getting tied to trolley tracks in the first place.
@petebrown :-D but you can't remove the most important ingredient for these thought experiments. All the ethicists would lose their motivation when there are no longer any human lives at stake ;-)
