My only real issue with the Pilot Custom 823 fountain pen is that holds so much ink that I get bored using the same color for so long. Otherwise, it's perfect.

@jack Quite a few of my favorite pens are the same way, and it’s a struggle for sure.

@jack Different strokes. I’ve been using the same black ink for over 40 years and haven’t got bored yet. In fact, that’s longer than I’ve had my main fountain pen!

@jack I’m basically down to one pen, one black ink. All my other fountain pens have been empty for a couple years now.

@humdrum @njr It’s interesting, because I’ve noticed that since I found an ink I really like (Pilot shin-kai) I’m not in quite as big a rush to get through it.
