Apple News app is pathetic. I can’t block certain sources. It keeps showing me stuff from months ago. It keeps promoting News+. It consists mostly of clickbait articles and not news. We could use a real news/journalism app. I get it. People don’t want news.

@Archimage it certainly is clickbaity. I only use it for magazine subscriptions. Plenty more superior services out there.
@Archimage I've gone from Google News to feed readers on my laptop and phone which just pull RSS feeds from different news sources
@Archimage I tend to get my news from All Sides these days (https://www.allsides.com/unbiased-balanced-news). I don’t know if they have an app, I just use the browser. The news cycles certainly can be depressing at times, but I like how they try to show what left leaning and right leaning media is showing on the news. And most importantly, I haven’t come across click baity articles there.
