@jsorge But the question you probably can’t answer is: “Where is the nationwide, principled, organized, Christian resistance to this evil regime?” Because it seems clear as day to me that this administration acts with complete hostility for Christian values.
@brentsimmons Right, but they are squashing abortion rights, so that's close enough for Jesus.
@brentsimmons Now imagine living in the Bible Belt…the cognitive dissonance between what I learned about Jesus when I attended Sunday School and what we see today is enough to make one’s (my) head explode….
@pratik the rapture is not supposed to take all of them! Just the good ones... Which, I reckon by those old standards to be a very, very, very slim minority...
@brentsimmons It’s been well documented that political sides are not held because of ideas or ideals, they’re held because of tribalism.
@pratik If all the people who believe in the rapture were taken off planet earth tomorrow, God would be doing everybody else a favor.
@brentsimmons I want so hard to reply “Not all Christians...” to these conversations, and yet I have to agree that we can and should be doing so much more.
