For my news junkies out there, is there a publication you feel is on the level of The Economist, but covers breaking news? The Guardian, NYT, and FT seem to be the best, but I’m hoping to find something else…

@humdrum maybe. Bloomberg? I don’t have much use for breaking news these days, but back in the day, I had a bookmark folder with just Daily Kos and Drudge Report. If something was going down, they usually were linking to the best on the topic. I don’t know if their quality is up, or if it isn’t, who has filled in that gap (maybe no one since Twitter has more or less killed the curated link blog). But that’s an idea worth looking into.

@lukemperez @humdrum Seems like FT or WSJ are the way to go, and I've heard that it's best to ignore the editorial parts of the latter.

I'm going to verify this for myself as soon as I can afford it — though, The Economist is at the top of that list.

@SimonWoods yeah maybe FT is the way to go for me. They don’t seem to do “live” the way Guardian and NYT do, which I enjoy when I want to keep a close eye on things… I’m also giving Axios, Reuters, and AP a look.
