I want to share a tiny video, and even this almost-idle motivation quickly reminded me the degree to which massive ad-based networks have completely destroyed the “free hobbyist” section of the market.
So yeah, if you want to know why it is that so many people have taken their hobbies and seemingly converted them into jobs at an alarming rate... maybe look at how terribly twisted and tortured we have turned our economies.
Looking at different, easily found options and Tumblr has the best offering by far.

@jarrod Yep, for sure in general. And the thing I like about the team is that I'm confident those improvements will happen.
At the moment I'm trying to avoid the closed social networks but it's almost impossible to get away with that. It's sad to see the extent to which we stopped rewarding people for making tools in lieu of service-based platforms.
