The way people used to think about the skill involved with the 140 limit of characters is exactly how I feel about replying on Micro.blog.
I am always unhappy with myself if I go beyond a paragraph.
@rcrackley It's why I've previously posted my random idea for integrating author replies into a longer post, and asked for threaded replies in general along with or instead of a limit on characters in replies.
Between that kind of thing and better handling of photo-filled "micro" posts I think the timeline would be a much better experience; not only nicer to use but also easier to scroll for people who like to move quickly and/or follow lots of accounts.
