@ron - As the biggest Dylan fan I know, I thought I'd ask if you knew about about this album of outakes and such that seems to have just come out this month. I just came across one of the tracks featuring Johnny Cash and really liked it!

@DrOct Yes, I can pretty much vouch for any album in the Bootleg Series. For yrs many unreleased cuts have come out from bootleggers & in many cases the unreleased stuff was as good or better than what was released on the albums. Finally the record label started releasing these outtakes in the Bootleg Series as official releases. And of course they have the master tapes, so they always have the best recordings possible. This recent one has recordings made with Cash in Nashville & Dylan was the first guy among rock stars to record in Nashville where the studio musicians there were top notch. He re-recorded much of Blood on the Tracks in Nashville before it was released, once he discovered how good the musicians there were.
