@adders I never much liked the term "social media." Now I'm thinking that "social propaganda" would be a better one for me to use. I grew up hearing about propaganda all the time and it wasn't a good thing, something only bad people would use, for bad purposes. I worried that the world of 1984 would be forced upon us all by conquerors. It was far more insidious that we were tricked into bringing the whole thing onto ourselves, that we were "making our lives so much better with this amazing technology." All along, I never thought I was much into computer games.

@adders It is increasingly clear that democracy is unknowingly engaged in a war it is not prepared to fight with an enemy it does not know how to fight on a battlefield with which it is entirely unfamiliar :-(
