@jeremycherfas I had to read this because Gillian Welch is one of my favorite musicians, and wow, I love everything you say here! A toast to your continuing well-lived life and happy birthday!

@agilelisa Well, thanks, but in the words of another great song, It ain’t me, babe. The author happens to be a friend, and like you, I love her wrap up of her current life. She is also a pretty big cheese in nutrition.

@jeremycherfas The 50's and 60's can be a wonderful period in one's life. While you're reflecting on your big picture, I encourage you to acknowledge that you're in the prime of your life and you have been for many years. That is something worth rejoicing.

I'm a pandemic past my mid 70's and I'm just now recognizing that I'm past the prime of my life. How do I know? Because people my age have begun to look over their shoulder, questioning whether any signs of dementia or Alzheimer's have begun to appear on the edges. In the prime of one's life, such thoughts never come along.

So appreciate how great things are for you and have been for many years. You are totally right that you have chosen the right folks with whom to move forward. Acknowledge that and them and strengthen those connections!

@jeremycherfas A lot of good takeaways from life here. I especially nodded at:

The grass is never greener.

@odd @ron I am glad my friend’s wrap up is resonating for you both, as it did for me.

@jeremycherfas Well I was feeling embarrassed that I had not noticed that the article was not written by or about you. So I went back and discovered that site seems to compile writing from many sources. And I couldn't find a single article (in the first three) that stated who had actually written each piece. They all seem to have anonymous sources. I've never seen that before!

@Ron @jeremycherfas That makes us two, Ron! (Although you made me aware of it in your last post, Jeremy). A good article nonetheless.

@odd @Ron Well, it is somewhat obscure, I agree, and I have no idea why. The About page obscures it further, referring to the main author (Prof. Jess Fanzo) as we and for some obscure reason pointing to a Twitter bio for more information.

@odd @ron I imagine she might be leaving things open for a future in which there are other contributors. I'll ask.

@jeremycherfas When you said "she" it gave a whole new view of it to me. I had been hearing a male voice, so that was unexpected. I would be interested in hearing why she chose the approach she is using.
