@scientifics @Annie Checking Wirecutter is excellent advice. Notice that it also suggests seeing whether your smartphone camera would be enough. Along those lines you might consider an ipod Touch with the smaller RAM option. They are $200 & do other things too, but have no phone. The last several pics I posted here were taken with a Touch.

@Ron Good point. I’ve played with the idea of smart phone as camera. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind having an iPod that holds all her music AND takes great photos.
