So seven people get blood clots after getting the J&J vaccine and we pull it, but eight people get killed by a crazed gun owner and it’s just another Friday in America. Makes sense.

@Miraz Mind you: the world drops everything for Covid but climate change, poverty etc are just business as usual.

@Miraz Once white elementary kids in a suburban school got literally massacred and then nothing happened, I lost hope.

@Miraz yes, and we have a regressive and reactionary state legislature that is always trying to prevent the cities from doing anything reasonable. For example, see these.

@Miraz Not always. I posted a link to a game-changer new technology for generating power in a completely new green way and no one even noticed. The generating plant in our Midwest town will be only the second one in the country. I’m 75 and I’m not pessimistic about our country. We have overcome a lot in the past and we will in the future too. 🎯

@Ron That’s great Ron. That power plant looks interesting indeed. Every bit counts, that’s for sure. What I meant though was that Covid has been a rallying point that really took focus from all kinds of governments and companies. Other issues are still being dealt with piecemeal and haphazardly.

@Miraz I might have misread what you wrote. It seemed pessimistic and I thought if Miraz is turning pessimistic, we’ve got a real problem, because she is usually optomistic, with a positive outlook.
