It’s like Facebook wants to be in the news every single day for something else horrible.
@Mtt I use FB Messenger (reluctantly) for one of my group chats. Now, I’m trying to force the other members back to our Slack channel that we once used. Facebook is not to be trusted anymore. I really wish Apple would open Messages/iMessage to Android users. I get why they don't/won’t, but man, they could really save the day if they wanted to.
@Mtt @johnholzer as much as I love what FB has to offer. Between the political nonsense and lack of trust, it just exhusts me.
@RobertFrench If it weren't for Four Brewers, the only thing I'd use on FB is the event features, which they have a separate app for.
@johnholzer I deleted my FB and created an alias account with no friends and no permissions (only to manage business pages when necessary). I never login on my phone and just once a month or so using a private/incognito window on my computer. Then I immediately log off and take a shower.
@RobertFrench Yep. I deleted my account months ago. I have an alias account for emergency business page access when someone else messes up anything. I have no content, friends, or permissions on that account. I even use a throw away email account for it.
@johnholzer follow up on the separate “Local” Facebook app: it’s still Facebook. You’re logged into your account and can even go to your Facebook feed in the app’s browser. The app is basically a skin for full Facebook. Deleted it. I’ll only be using Facebook on an actual computer going forward, not a mobile device.
