My hey.com email subscription is set to renew this month and I’m going to keep with it. I find the UI relaxing and the workflow feature is a nice touch. I do find certain tasks to take too many clicks but I can put up with it. Especially after I wander over to Outlook or Gmail ::shudder::

@heyloura Yeah. I have on my to-do list, undated, gaining mastery over hey mail. It’s got a lot of features I’m unfamiliar with, and your “workflows” is one of them. Set Aside and Bubble Up are definitely my friends, though.

@heyloura same here. After initial lack of interest, I am really loving the service. It has made the email experience less painful.

@JohnBrady @heyloura The UI is the part I like least. It feels almost cartoonish. But I’m no designer, and I suspect that the design is partly the easiest way to make features accessible and partly a way to stand out from the crowd.

@ReaderJohn I use aside and bubble up quite a bit and at first I thought the sticky notes wouldn’t be all that useful, but now I have five up all the time. One of them is even a note about how to use Hey. Like when should I set aside or bubble up and what workflows I should keep in mind.

@amit That’s pretty much why I keep renewing. I go look around and I haven’t found anything that makes me go… “That’s a big improvement and will make things easier.”

@JohnBrady I agree, I spend so much time in front of a computer that I need some spaces where I can work effectively that aren’t visually overstimulating. Hey just works for me in that regard

@heyloura I tried Hey for a while and loved the feature set, but ended up going with (the admittedly much less sexy) Proton Mail. I wonder if Hey is gonna get on the email-alias train soon.
