I hate hate hate that we train google’s robots in order to prove we aren’t robots. Please stop doing this!

@toddgrotenhuis How precisely is one to stop? Don't do business with the companies that use those photo grids? Click some hidden button to get the kind of one-click Captcha that many businesses now seem to find adequate?

@todd I periodically get stuck on "is this one training for a drone? is this against my religion?"

@toddgrotenhuis the bigger problem with this is that I find myself thinking, now, what would the machine ”think” looks like a (crosswalk, mountain, etc.)? They are training us to fail the Turing test.

@toddgrotenhuis Do this long enough, and the robots will get us.

@ReaderJohn Part of me likes difficult sign-ins because they sometimes make me realize that what I was signing into is stupid.

@ReaderJohn I’m asking orgs not to use Google’s service

As far as the end-user, we have little say in the matter, though we can prefer services that won’t use it, and we can opt for the audio verification (slightly better) than the grid.
