@adders I am so so so bored of Substack attempting to turn itself into a platform, basically recreating blogging/email list/RSS within a walled garden which they totally control

@ianbetteridge Yup. It feels like it was inevitable that the VCs backing it would want a “moat”, but it’s a bit soul crushing watching another company try to become an attention farm.

@adders VCs love platforms. Making a product which is good enough for people to actually want to pay for it is no longer enough.
