@ReaderJohn I think the democratic mayors are perhaps reasonably concerned that calling in the military under trumps command will only make things worse.

@MitchWagner Yeah. Inviting federal troops is a last resort. But the National Guard is a state force, and there are steps short even of that (I believe; no law enforcement expert am I).

@ReaderJohn Antifa and the right-wing militias seem to be psyching themselves up for an all-out civil war. I am opposed to both-siderism but in this case it seems appropriate.
