At the cafe this morning, someone arrived with a dog that shares the same name as myself. It was surprisingly tricky not to respond to this person issuing commands like “Leon, get down” and “Leon, stop doing that.” 😄

@lmika 😂 Then I hope you didn’t follow them to the park, and started running when she threw a stick! Luckily, (I think), there are no dogs with my name, but there is a fishing boat named Odd Egil. However, I don’t think the captain yell commands at it.

@lmika LOL. Glad they weren’t doing the whole “Down. Rollover” routine…

@odd 😄 Yeah, would be amusing to know how to respond to “Odd, full forward”.

@Miraz Yes, that was lucky. Although she did command him to stay as she bought him some dog biscuits. Fortunately at that time, they were on the way out. 😄

@lmika Hahaha, not quite the same, but one of my neighbours has a cat with the same name as my sister, so every single time we have to specify “Emma the cat” or “Emma my sister”… forgetting to clarify has led to some hilarious misunderstandings at times, haha

@lmika Similar but as a teacher, teaching students with the same name as family members or worse is strange!
