I have been a happy user of CRAFT for nearly as long as they have been around using their Personal Pro level.

They have a deal right now that allowed me to upgrade to their business level - which includes custom domain - and I pay nothing extra.

@pratik @JohnPhilpin That’s weird, I got the Personal Plan for free from edu discount and they said I could get it free for another 3 years. However, I decided to create a new account for Business Plan to try out without ditching my free deals lol.

@pratik @JohnPhilpin The free Personal Plan is from edu discount they had last year and I think it’s also the same this year. The Business Plan is from the current Black Friday deal, half price forever, which means the same price as the Personal Plan.

@pratik Do you get the edu discount from the back-to-school period or any other time? I think the free deal is still going on until the end of this month.

@ningkantida Just at a regular time few months ago. I had to verify my status by responding via a .edu address.

@pratik Then, you should apply for the 5-year free deals before the end of this month.

@Munish @pratik Last year, I thought it would only be for early adopters, so I was shocked when they announced the same deal again this year. They were so generous!

@JohnPhilpin What is the benefit of using Craft with a custom domain? At any rate, it looks like I can't upgrade at the 50% discount because I already have an active Personal Pro subscription that doesn't expire until February.

@gdp so did I - when you buy using the discount they refund what’s left of your current sub

I use Craft for shareable docs on the web - not worth it if I have to pay - but preferable so I can make the URLs what I want
