Every time I get on the highway I’m appalled by the number of cars being driven by people on their phones!

@maique The topper to that for me was the person I saw with a thick paperback novel, opened up and resting on top of their steering wheel while driving.

I can’t make this shit up.

@Troydp It’s crazy! In the city you see that a lot, sometimes a quick glance when at a stoplight. And city driving makes it harder to look at the phone, I guess. On the highway, though, you can see them speeding while slowly leaving their lane, and then swerving back into it!

@maique @Troydp this sounds awful. In the UK, I have since this on occasion and people get away with it. Instead the police are investigating people picking up their phone at a drive through to pay, whilst in their car and standing still. It is illegal to not have a phone in a car holder. All a mess.

@maique It is messed up. However, you can ride an electric scooter on a road with cars without a helmet. Do not get me started.

@maique We’ve tried for 100 years to get drivers to follow the rules. They won’t. I know they have their place in certain situations, but we really should #BanCars.
