@matt Do you pay for the MacStories and MacSparky extra content or make do with what they offer for free? Fredrico and David are super smart guys, but they present content much differently today than they did when I discovered then in 2014.
@amerpie I have paid for some one-off stuff, but I haven't in a while. You're absolutely right about their content changing. I do still find some value from time to time. For example, this recent article made me finally decide to get Raycast.
@matt I bought several MacSparky field guides when they weren't $50 a pop! Welcome to the Raycast train! Someone with your developer skills will surely get a lot out of it.
@amerpie I've already setup so much stuff. My favorites so far are switching the default emoji picker to Raycast, a shortcut for floating notes, a shortcut for accessing Safari Passwords, and a shortcut for asking ChatGPT a question. And I don't feel like I've even ventured into the weeds yet. Any suggestions?
@matt There is an image resizer plugin I use every day. I'm at work and can't remember the name of it, but I'll send it to you when I get home. The clipboard manager is useful and a lot of folks like the snippets but I'm too entrenched in TextExpander to switch.
@amerpie I used TextExpander back in the day but stopped when they switched something. Maybe it was the subscription model? Can't remember. Yeah, please send me the image resizer. I can see that being useful.

@gdp I’m using a Test Flight beta of the TextExpander keyboard on iOS 17.4 now and it mostly works. There are a few hiccups but hopefully they will get worked out during the beta period. I wish they still integrated more with apps like Drafts where I here the support is going away.
@gdp I actually make big use of Apple’s built in text replacement for basic stuff. Makes it easy to type things like ¯_(ツ)_/¯ or ✓ ★ ↑ ↓ → ← ⌘ ♥ ✭ ™ © ⌥ .
