It’s funny: I saw Tapbot’s Ivory has hit 1.0, so I looked in the App Store for it, and every other Mastodon client appears, but not it.

@odd They moved from alpha to beta so are now v. 0.0.1. Not yet on the App Store but are trying to be there by end of the month. They’ve paused adding new features and now focused on bugs. I have a notification alert set on their posts…in Ivory

@pratik Oh, I must have blinked when I read that “0.0.1”! On one hand, I can hardly wait for the release, on the other, I don’t want to have to jumble around with several apps. Sticking to the official app for now.

@pratik @odd They are on the app store. Might not find them yet when searching for Ivory, but should find it if searching for tapbots.

@teisam Yes. I think most other clients have referenced Ivory in their app descriptions, how else would I get all the other Mastodon clients when searching for Ivory? 🤔 Like @pratik said, by the end of the month, (maybe).

@odd Well, that was quick! @adders linked to the app. @teisam @pratik

@teisam I misunderstood you. I thought you meant I would find Tapbots on the App Store (only).

@odd Ivory is now in the App Store. @pratik

@Ddanielson Hm, so they were either a bit quick with the keywords, or the App Store is not very intuitive.

@Mtt Got the notification from Ivory shortly after I posted about it. Still unsure whether the TestFlight version will be updated more often or the app store version @odd @teisam

@pratik My impression based on what others are posting is that it’ll be slightly ahead for at least the major features (profile editing, etc). A bunch of people are downloading the App Store version so they can subscribe, then re-downloading the TestFlight version.

@Mtt I read Paul and Matt saying that they plan to pull the TestFlight version or that it simply won't work in time. Paul had said that having thousands of testers was beginnning to become to difficult to manage. @pratik

@crossingthethreshold I could see the logic in that.

@crossingthethreshold @Mtt @odd @Ddanielson @teisam Got it and makes sense. I’m already on the App Store version and have subscribed so they can continue developing.

@pratik I did a 180°, and started a subscription too.

@odd I'm going to be doing that probably next month or so. Haven't decided when, but Ivory will be my client on iOS, this I know.
