Ordered a new D4V2 dual channel today. If you know, you know. If you don’t, you should.

@Mtt Looks nice and of good quality, but I really don’t know what I’d use it for. (I’m not so outdoorsy anymore).

@odd This particular one is actually more of an EDC light. While it would be great for a dog walk or something, it's not a hiking/exploring light. Think of it more like a "I could use my phone light to find what I dropped or I could use this perfectly machined, insanely flexible, infinitely programmable tool to do it faster." Equivalent of using a high-end driver instead of a 50c screwdriver. They both work, but one is more fun.

@Mtt Aha! Well, now I kind of want it. 😂 I used to get MagLites, and I have a charger one and a 2xAA one, but the latter is too big to carry in jeans pockets (IMO).

@odd A D4V2 (with the right options chosen upon purchase), makes a MagLite look like a cheap glowstick. Many many times brighter, much farther throw. It also runs software that you can customize. It's a toy for grown men. It can literally burn stuff. Does anyone need it? No. But why should that stop us?
