@JohnPhilpin that isn’t software. That is the move fast and break shit model we decided we would all use to build it since beta is so much cheaper than design
@Moondeer I’m not sure he is saying that - or if he is - it isn’t what he thought he was sating.
@JohnPhilpin it isn’t what he was saying. I was disagreeing with him
@JohnPhilpin it would be weird for anyone to think something defined by its malleability would ever be done, only dead. Software is no more specific to the purpose of a thing than, say, literature. Some services call for continuous feedback with user guidance. Most do not.
My first app was the only one I finished. When you put creativity and design first, one person is not enough for implementation. The tech industry is not interested in creatives. Much easier to push some scraps out fast using fresh grads in quick production cycles that outsources both testing and design to their users.
The tech industry is responsible for collapsing the American Experiment because it followed business models and pushed user retention with disregard for anything non-monetary in nature. Nothing positive comes to mind right now when I think the word “tech” in my head and give a listen.
I’m over all this buggy, unimaginative crap I know can be built better (by someone just like me but without all their fucks having flown away). I’mma leave the fire behind, swim out past the breakers, and watch the world die while y’all build more server farms for your algorithms.
