I’m trying Microsoft Edge as my primary browser, after hearing Federico Viticci rave about it on the Macstories podcast. He also loved Arc, but I need a browser that syncs with my iPad and iPhone.

@MitchW I used #edge quite a bit since I have to test how our thing appears in various browsers; and its a quick way to fire up a browser personae that doesn't have all my plugins and settings etc. aka "guest" mode.
Its not bad. Not bad at all. The only thing that keeps me in the Chrome ecosystem is I really *like * syncing bookmarks and saved pwds between computers, my phone, tablet etc. If #edge for #android existed and I could migrate ecosystems, I'd consider it.
@tezoatlipoca I'm surprised there's no Edge for Android. I thought Microsoft slightly preferred Android over iPhone/iPad.
@MitchW I heard the same episode, and made a note to try it. Looking forward to your thoughts on this one.
@maique I like it. Fast performance, and I like the sidebar tabs rather than tabs on top. Uses Chrome extensions. I haven't tried Collections, which seems like the same as Safari tab groups. And I like the Favorites dropdown menu at the top right. I think I'll stay with Edge.
@jasonekratz Not a single mention of privacy in the whole episode, and that really surprised me. I have no desire to even consider a Microsoft browser. I love Arc on the Mac and I’m quite happy to use Brave on my iOS and iPadOS devices until Arc is available for those.
@jasonekratz It’s a sync thing. He really likes Arc, but he’s been using a PC more and wants to be able to use the side tabs. Arc won’t be available for PCs until late 2023.
@jasonekratz I’ve pretty much given up on privacy on an individual level. Individual choice won’t help us.
@jasonekratz What do you recommend, then? Firefox crashes on the iPad.
