My recovery needs seem to be rising

@philipbrewer I started out trying to do weights 3 times per week. I’ve dropped that to twice a week because my body does need that extra recovery time. On the intervening days I try to do a walk or bike ride. One thing I learned recently is that physical aging doesn’t just slide down a consistent curve but actually works more like steps.
@Miraz It’s so hard to tweeze apart what’s aging, what’s exercising too much, what’s exercising too hard, what’s doing the wrong exercises…. And, as you say, there are step changes, so you can’t just assume that you can do (nearly) as much as five years ago.
