Computational photography raises some serious questions about the nature of reality, and how we represent it.

@adders I don't know though. Is it any different from compensating for fluorescent lights, for example? In ‘reality’ objects exist in the world and reflect or absorb all sort of wavelengths, incuding infrared and uv. Some animals can ‘see’ those wavelengths. Some people have better vision than others, or may not see all colours. The ways of perceiving an object are as numerous as the viewers. I'm not a great believer in there being ‘a' reality (except perhaps in the 'eye of god’. We all bring our preconceptions, biases, creativity to everything we see.
