Whew. 😅 The community BBQ a small group of us organised went off really well. 65 said they’d come and at least 50 turned up. There was enough food, and people were really pleased to meet their neighbours. The weather even turned out OK at the time. Now I can relax!

A dozen people chatting at the BBQ by the lake. Two locals ran their BBQs to cook sausages etc. Wide shot of a lot of the people who attended.

@Miraz this is awesome ! I remember having a community bbq back home years ago, in Puerto Rico. However it wasn’t under the best circumstances 😅, a week before we got hit by a hurricane, and because we went without power for that long, my mum decided to cook everything we had before it went spoiled. So we had a community BBQ then. Still it was a lot of fun in the middle of all that chaos.

@Gabz That would be a great thing to do in the middle of chaos like that!

@simonwoods It was a lovely spot. The land actually belongs to a neighbour who seemed quite proud of it being on his land. He'd mowed the grass specially and filled in the rabbit holes too!

@Miraz I love the Weber Q. Not useful for barbecue but great for grilling.
