Second gym session today and we did some stretches and also some work with 5 Kg or 2 Kg dumbbells. That included squats and lifts.
The trainer and I have differing opinions on whether I'll be able to walk tomorrow. đ¤Ł

@Miraz Probably different definitions of walk. He probably figures if you can get from your bed to your couch without crawling, youâre walking.
@Miraz Youâll be fine tomorrow. With squats itâs the day after tomorrow that gets you
@philipbrewer Turns out she was right â I can still walk, but I have various parts of my body telling me âHey, I worked out yesterday!â đ
@Miraz Whenever I start workout out after a long break, thereâs kind of a mental transition. For a few times Iâm all, âI worked out yesterdayâIâm in agony,â and then, even though I feel exactly the same, Iâm all âI worked out yesterdayâI feel great!â There may be some physical differences as wellâmuscle soreness does decline when youâre working out regularlyâbut for me the big change is the mental one.
@philipbrewer Interesting change in perception, thanks. On this, the second day after, Iâm still feeling a few muscles that obviously never get to actually do much in my daily life: pecs, something in the lower tummy in particular.
